Prince Hall Day
in the City of Brotherly Love

On May 2, 2024, the Philadelphia City Council officially declared the day as “Prince Hall Day” in the city. The proclamation honored the significant contributions of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania to Philadelphia and the entire Commonwealth.

The event featured several distinguished speakers, including Councilman Kenyatta Johnson of Sheba Lodge #7, Bro. Nicholas O’Rourke, and Grand Historian Felix Gardenhire.

They addressed the assembly, highlighting the historical importance and ongoing impact of Prince Hall and his legacy.

The ceremony concluded with closing remarks delivered by Right Worshipful Senior Grand Warden Erick Williams #23, representing Most Worshipful Grand Master, the Honorable Paul A. Hibner. The event marked a significant milestone in recognizing the enduring legacy of Prince Hall and his Masonic fraternity in Philadelphia.
